Windsor Star

Class act by Costco

On Nov. 11, my wife and I were shopping at Costco. At 11 a.m. the store played the Last Post over the intercom system.

People stood, frozen in place, heads bowed. This show of respect for our Veterans was storewide. Many shoppers struggled with their emotions as others outright wept.

Afterwards, people continued on with their business but it took several minutes for most to gather their composure. It was an amazing minute where strangers were all sharing something special.

A tip of the hat to Costco. It was a classy thing to do.
