Suspects sought in death of boy, 16
TORONTO Toronto police are searching for suspects in the shooting of a 16-year-old found dead in the stairwell of an apartment building Wednesday afternoon.
Police say they responded to a call reporting the sound of gunshots around 4 p.m. When they arrived, they found the boy lying in the building’s west stairwell suffering from an “obvious gunshot wound.”
A coroner pronounced the boy dead at the scene.
On Thursday, the Toronto Police Service identified the victim as Tyrone Bracken, 16, of Toronto.
