Amherstbur­g to host Rocky Horror Picture Show

AMHERSTBUR­G Let’s do the Time Warp.

The Town of Amherstbur­g and the Chamber of Commerce are serving up the classic rock-opera Rocky Horror Picture Show just in time for Halloween.

Join newly engaged couple Brad and Janet as they find themselves at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, on the eve of a Transylvan­ian dance party.

The adults- only showing takes place Oct. 26 at the United Communitie­s Credit Union Complex, 3295 Meloche Rd.

Doors open 9 p.m., movie starts at 10 p.m.

Get in to the Halloween spirit by dressing up as one of the film’s characters.

Seating is on the indoor turf facility. Thin high heels are not recommende­d. Bring a lawn chair.

Tickets on sale Oct. 9 at the UCCUC and are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

Admission is restricted to 18 years of age and older.

Ojibway Park hosts autumn festival

Autumn lovers of all ages are encouraged to visit Windsor’s Ojibway Park and Nature Centre this Thanksgivi­ng for the annual Fall Colour Festival.

The family event happens on Monday from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Features include walking tours of the park, introducti­ons to Nature Centre programs, and hands-on encounters with some of the park’s critters — including the Nature Centre’s collection of reptiles.

This year’s festival is the 37th edition of the annual event.

Ojibway Park is at 5200 Matchette Rd.
