Chris Brown dumps girlfriend
Rapper Chris Brown has made it official, via press release: He’s dumping model Karrueche Tran.
“I have decided to be single to focus on my career,” he said. “I love Karrueche very much, but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single, allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”
He and Rihanna have repeatedly been overtly smoochy lately, so “friendship” and “single” can’t be taken too seriously.
Photos suggest that Tran will have no trouble getting dates. The Daily Mail quoted this cryptic tweet from her: “WTF is going on? All I’m saying is, you don’t mess with people’s genuine feelings. You just don’t! Life moves on. So let’s all.”
I wonder how this will affect Brown’s probation status. You’ll recall he’s still being watched after his 2009 attack on ... Rihanna.
Tran is 23. So is Brown. Rihanna is 24.

She’s 51. And now some news of, er, larger women: Kate Waterhouse, fashion editor of the Sun-Herald in Melbourne, Australia, was interviewing Mad Men star Christina Hendricks and asked about her being an “inspiration to full- figured women.”
Long pause, flustered false starts, and then, “I think calling me full- figured is just rude.” Hendricks was giggling, rather than angry-sounding, but Waterhouse backed down quickly and moved on.
So if “full-figured” is out, I guess we each have to think of our own adjectives to describe the lady. Just keep them to yourself.
Extra side of fries, please: Would you count Salma Hayek as “full-figured?” She almost puts herself in that category, in an interview with the U.K. edition of Harper’s Bazaar.

Duelling divas: Mariah Carey is full-figured, I reckon, and in the news, because of her blowup with Nicki Minaj the other day on the American Idol set.
Life is reverting slowly to normal-ish on the set. Now Minaj blames the producers, saying they set up a diva confrontation in the hope of getting publicity. The producers, rubbing their hands together with glee, piously say they just hope everyone can get along now. Minaj has let it be known that she’ll walk at the next sign of Carey acting pushy. Keith Urban, the other judge, said he felt like he was at the UN.
