Laws protecting unborn outdated

-

Re: Fetus rights vote only shows fear, by Eugene LaRocque, Oct. 3.

I totally agree with Eugene LaRocque and his take on the recent defeat of Motion 312 in his letter on Oct. 3. I get so tired arguing with people about when human life begins.

From the moment sperm and egg join, that union will produce absolutely nothing but a human being. Not a fish, not a dog or cat, just a human being.

To allow that development to be ended by abortion is nothing more than the killing of another human being. But because it is hidden away and unseen, that killing seems to be totally acceptable in society today.

Our laws protecting the unborn right up to full and complete birth are antiquated and wrong, but it seems nobody with authority has the will to stand up and make the change.

How sad for those seemingly unimportant lives destroyed by abortion.
