Kennedys aren’t keen on Taylor Swift’s romance

- DOUG CAMILLI

Glamorous singer meets high-school student, student is smitten, romance ensues, student’s father gets angry, trouble follows. Old story, no?

The switcheroo here is that the student is male, Conor Kennedy, and the celeb is female, Taylor Swift. We’re now at stage four, reports the National Enquirer: Conor is back at his exclusive prep school, Deerfield Academy, and “Taylor not only visited him for a romantic weekend, she started texting, phoning, and emailing love notes 24/7,” says the Enquirer’s source. And Robert F. Kennedy Jr., teenage Conor’s father, is not happy

“This constant togetherness has infuriated RFK, who says his son should be focusing on school work as he preps for admittance to an Ivy League college — and he’s warned Conor he won’t allow Taylor to be a distraction!”

Swift is 22. Conor is 18. Streisand and son: Jason Gould, son of Barbra Streisand and Elliott Gould, has accomplished little as an actor, so he’s trying singing. His first album comes out today. (Not a Christmas album, mercifully.) He’ll duet with Babs at her Brooklyn concert on Thursday, too.

Sounds like he was pressured: “My mother has set a very high standard, so it wasn’t like I was just anybody, you know, opening my mouth,” the N.Y. Post quotes him as saying.“I think a part of me was afraid [to sing] ... in front of my mother.” He’s 46. Wedding bells: David Cross of Arrested Development married starlet Amber Tamblyn last weekend, Us Weekly reports. They’ve been a couple since 2008. He’s 48, she’s 29. Andy Rooney would be proud: Jerry Seinfeld did his first standup gig in ages the other night. It turns out he has morphed into an old fogey:

“Facebook is one of the great trash receptacles of human time. Of course when you are young and dumb you think people are great ... When you are 50, your first thought is the fewer people you have anything to do with, the better.”

And on Twitter: “Why say a lot of things to everybody when I can say absolutely nothing to anybody?”

He’s 58. Book bids burning up: That Lena Dunham book proposal I mentioned? Five publishers have made bids up to $3.7 million and it’s not over yet, says The Hollywood Reporter. The creator of Girls is talking about a book of essays, but when you’re hot, you’re hot: She could be peddling a geology textbook for all that content matters. Do ya still think he’s sexy? Rod Stewart, with an autobio coming out soon, gave the world a taste via the Daily Mail: Back in the days of The Faces ( 1969- 75), “women literally threw themselves [at us] ‘cos we were cute and we were British … You can’t understand it if you haven’t been through it, but we were literally peeling the girls off us.”

He and bandmate Ronnie Wood “just got tired of sex after a while, and we were only in our early 20s … I got bored of not feeling affectionate towards girls. I wanted to be in love.” He’s 67 now.
