Holiday hours set for city hall

City of Windsor offices will close Good Friday and Easter Monday, so the next city council meeting will be April 6 at council chambers.

Here’s a rundown of other Easter changes to city hours and services:

311 Call Centre: Closed Good Friday and Easter Monday. Regular hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., resume April 7.

211 Windsor-Essex: Open 24 hours a day throughout the Easter holiday weekend.

Garbage and recycling: No residentia­l collection on Good Friday or Easter Monday. Residentia­l collection will be delayed by one day.

Public drop-off: The depot at Central Avenue and E.C. Row is closed on Good Friday, but open Saturday and Easter Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Parks and recreation: Community centres and pools are closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday, except for previously scheduled rentals.

The Aquatic Centre, however, is open for regular programmin­g all weekend. All community centre programs, including swimming, will occur on Saturday and on Easter Monday.

The WFCU Centre and arenas will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday except for previously scheduled rentals and programs.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park: Adventure Bay Family Water Park will be open during special hours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Good Friday and Easter Monday and the same (regular weekend) hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Early Bird session rates are not available during Easter Weekend extended hours.

On Friday, the Easter Bunny will be mingling with guests in the lobby, where kids can try the Guess the Jelly Bean Contest.

Parking enforcemen­t: There will be no municipal parking enforcemen­t on Good Friday or Easter Monday.

Windsor Public Library: All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed Friday through Monday. Regular hours will resume April 7.

Transit Windsor: City buses will run on the Sunday/Holiday schedule on Friday and Sunday and regular schedules for Saturday and Monday. The tunnel bus will operate on its regular schedules throughout the weekend.
