The LaSalle Vipers have acquired forward Cale Allen from the Leamington Flyers.

The five-foot-11, 175-pound Allen won back-to-back Western Conference titles with the front-running Flyers.

“He’s very versatile,” Vipers general manager and head coach Bill Bowler said. “He’s played forward and defence. We know firsthand what he’s capable of. We’re going to give him every opportunity to show what he can do within our structure.”

The 19-year-old Allen had a goal and 12 points for the Flyers while appearing in 17 of the team’s 25 games.

“Cale’s ice time was going to be a bit limited because of our recent additions, so we felt it would be best to make a move that would allow him an opportunity to play more,” Flyers general manager Kevin Hopper said.
