Rode won gold in the 50-metre freestyle, 50-metre butterfly and took silver in the 50-metre backstroke and 100-metre backstroke behind Masse. Rode teamed with Masse to win gold in the 200-metre medley relay and won gold with the 200-metre freestyle relay.
