Two in hospital after crash on County Road 10 in Amherstburg

Two people were taken to hospital — one with life-threatening injuries — following a serious crash on County Road 10 on Saturday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the collision on County Road 10 between County Road 9 and County Road 11 around 8 a.m. on Saturday. The road was closed in the morning for accident reconstruction, but reopened around 1 p.m.

The drivers of a pickup truck and a mid-sized car were extracted from their vehicles and taken to hospital. One has life-threatening injuries. The other is in serious condition.

Amherstburg police are asking the public to avoid the area as they continue to investigate.
