Police release images of robbers who stole drugs from pharmacy

Windsor police have released images and video of two men who robbed a South Windsor pharmacy at gunpoint Friday morning.

The crime happened before 7:30 a.m. at the Provincial Pharmacy and Medical Centre, next to the Coral Medical Health Spa at 1400 Provincial Rd.

The two robbers drove to the pharmacy in a silver or grey-coloured SUV, parking it in a neighbouri­ng lot.

They walked onto the property and into the business wearing hooded sweatshirt­s, sunglasses and face coverings.

They confronted an employee at the counter. One of the robbers brandished a handgun and demanded narcotics.

After seizing a quantity of prescripti­on drugs, the robbers fled the property on foot and got back into their vehicle. They were last seen driving east on Division Road. No one was hurt.

It’s at least the third pharmacy robbery in Windsor so far this month.

There were previous incidents on June 1 at Ziter Pharamacy (2462 Howard Ave.) and on June 5 at the Neighbourh­ood Drug Store (483 Wyandotte St. E.).

The latest robbers are described as:

A white male who appeared to be in his early 20s, about five-footeight with a thin build. He had short brown hair. At the time of the crime, he wore a black hooded jacket, a white T-shirt, black pants, black or grey running shoes, sunglasses, black gloves and a black scarf.

A white male who appeared to be in his early 20s, also about fivefoot-eight. He had short dark hair. At the time of the crime, he wore a grey hooded jacket, a black Tshirt, blue jeans, black running shoes and black gloves.
