The Windsor Star publishes, at no charge, 50th, 55th, 60th, 65th and 70th wedding anniversaries and birthdays for those 90, 95, 100 and older.

These announcements are published online and in print on Saturdays. Submissions are accepted by email only.

Send a current, high quality photo (as a jpg attachment) to news@ windsorstar.com at least one month prior to the event.

Put “Milestones” in the subject line. Include the following information in the email:

The name(s) of the celebrant(s) in the photo; Where they were married or born; The type of milestone (eg. 50th anniversary; 100th birthday);

The number of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren;

How the milestone will be celebrated; and

A contact name and phone number.

Susanna Feimer was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Romania. She has two children and four grandchildren. She will celebrate with family.

Shirley and Frank Renaud married Sept. 23, 1967, at Sacred Heart Church in LaSalle. They have three children and four grandchildren. They will celebrate their golden anniversary with family.

Gary and Carol Towers married Sept. 23, 1967, at St. John Vianney Church in Windsor. They have two sons and three grandchildren. They will celebrate their golden anniversary during a family dinner, followed by a trip to Destin, Fla., and a trip to Hawaii in February.

Francis and Jeanne d’Arc Barrette married Sept. 23, 1967, at the St. Joachim Church in St. Joachim. They have three children and four grandchildren. They will celebrate their golden anniversary with family.

Dawna and Hank Reeves married Sept. 27, 1957, at Lincoln Rd. United Church in Windsor. They have three children, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. They will celebrate their diamond anniversary with family.

Ruth and Don Riley married Sept. 23, 1967, at Trinity United Church in Wheatley. They have two daughters and four grandchildren. They will celebrate their golden anniversary with family and friends.

Rosaire and Madeleine Lacharite married Sept. 27, 1952, at St. Simon and St. Jude Parish in Belle River. They have 11 children, 30 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. They will celebrate with family.

Jane and Rod Van Buskirk were married Sept. 23, 1967, at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church in Windsor. They have two daughters and eight grandchildren. They will celebrate their golden anniversary with family and friends.

90th

Doreen Dennis was born Sept. 29. 1927, in Windsor. She has five children, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She will celebrate with family and friends.

95th

Charles Davis was born Sept. 27, 1922, in London, Ont. He has four children, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He will celebrate his birthday with family and friends during an open house, Saturday, Sept. 30 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 255, 5645 Wyandotte St. E.

Harvey Lafferty Jr. was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Detroit. He has five children, 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He will celebrate his birthday with family.
