Many city services closed on Family Day

City of Windsor offices will be closed for Monday’s Family Day holiday along with the 311 call centre.

The 211 call centre remains open 24 hours a day to serve residents in Windsor and Essex County.

There will be no residentia­l garbage collection Monday. Garbage, yard and recycling collection service will be delayed by one day. However, the night commercial, front-end loader and weekly recycling collects are not delayed.

The public drop-off depots for household and chemical waste will also be closed Monday.

All city community centres and customer care centres will be closed with the exception of scheduled rentals.

All indoor pools will be closed with the exception of the Windsor Internatio­nal Aquatic and Training Centre. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for adult short course fit lanes and open adult swimming. The Fitness Centre will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All arenas will be closed on Family Day, except the WFCU Centre, which has some openings for ice rentals.

Charles Clark Square will have free supervised skating (weather permitting) from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink is open for rentals from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and offers free public skating from 1-3 p.m.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park and Cannon Cove will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There will be no parking enforcemen­t on Monday and municipal ticket payment offices will be closed.

Ticket payments may still be made online by visiting the EServices tab at www.citywindso­r. ca. All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed.
