VINCE SCHILLER
Vince Schiller is president of Southwestern Manufacturing, which operates in a competitive global market producing wideranging metal based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to mining, oil and gas, crane and drag-line components, agricultural, machine building and heavy equipment manufacturing. Under Schiller, Southwestern Manufacturing has grown from 19 employees to more than 200 employees today. The company has successfully broken into nontraditional, non-automotive markets in the Windsor region. Southwestern Manufacturing has four divisions serving the needs of the industry that are outside of the core competencies. This includes an automation division and a location in Taylor, MI. Schiller also owns Southwestern Alternative Energy Producers, which deals with solar power distribution. Schiller’s newest venture is the purchase of a longstanding mold components distributor Diemould Services Company Ltd. (DMS). Southwestern was honoured to receive recognition numerous times through the years from various clients including Supplier of the Year Awards from Manitowoc Crane Group, Pyramid Parts and Services, Schenck Motorama, Inc. and Joy Global. Supporting many local charities is a priority for Schiller, whether it is through monetary donation, gifts or time. Organizations that Schiller supports include Rotary Club of Essex, sponsor of the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program, member of the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, Experimental Learning Program (Assumption College Catholic High School), Hospice of Windsor-Essex County, Robotic Team at Ecole Secondaire E.J. Lajeunesse, Children’s Wish Foundation, Unemployed Help Centre and Community Support Centre of Essex County.
