St. Clair College works hard to achieve its vision of “excellence in career education and lifelong learning.” It seeks to do this by: helping to build mutually beneficial alliances and positive relationships with individuals and organizations, and building funds to support students through the Scholarship program. President Patricia France believes in student success and supports the mission of St. Clair College, which is to transform lives and strengthen communities, through high quality and accessible educational experiences that support career-readiness, innovation and life-long learning. With over 600 employees, the faculty at St. Clair College are professionals in their field and transfer that knowledge to students. There are many options including postsecondary education in health sciences, media art and design, engineering, technology, skilled trades, community services, business and information technology, adult upgrading, and apprenticeship, amongst others. St. Clair College provides significant student services to enhance student success. This includes over $1.5 million in scholarships and bursaries to help students with their tuition costs, provide internships, work-integrated learning and more. St. Clair College’s staff and students support numerous charities and fundraisers in the community including Polar Plunge, Downtown Mission, Hospice, John McGivney Centre, Children’s Safety Village, amongst others. Most recently, in 2017, St. Clair College students and staff made donations and supported more than 85 groups, organizations and charities in the community. It’s been more than 50 years and St. Clair College still values the support it receives from the community in the recognition of Best Art School.
