At Anna’s Flowers, the objective is simple, to inspire others to live a beautiful and healthy life, both inside and outside of their home. Anna’s Flowers, which is owned and operated by Henry and Anna Mastronardi and their family, offers an unbeatable selection of plants and flowers, gorgeous home and garden décor, freshly-picked local produce and carefully selected natural food and wellness products. They also host over 100 DIY workshops each year. Anna’s Flowers has been in business for over 44 years and has seen 4 generations within the business. “Family is at the centre of our business, and our customers truly are an extension of our family.” Anna’s daughter Marlene points out. “A large portion of our customer base has been there since the very beginning. Back when we were just a small roadside stand with only produce and hanging baskets – we’ve come a long way.” The Mastronardi family attributes this success to hard work, determination and of course, the support of their local community. “We are so fortunate to be apart of such an inspiring and generous. We try to give back as often as possible, one way, in particular, is our annual Ladies Night!” Marlene explains that Ladies Night was created as a way to celebrate and thank their customers, while at the same time giving back to the community. “Each year is a little different, but the intent remains the same. Last year we partnered with Make-AWish Southwestern Ontario and helped grant the wish of Wish Kid Sean!” She adds, “We will be hosting Ladies Night once again this year with proceeds benefiting another great local initiative in early July! We can’t wait!” As for the Best of Windsor-Essex distinction, “We are honoured! We love what we do, and this nomination validates all of our hard work. We love our community and to be recognized for doing what we’re passionate about is an amazing feeling. We’re very grateful.
