Woman charged in head-on crash
A 32-year-old Windsor woman is facing a charge of impaired driving causing bodily harm after a head-on crash on Pillette Road. Police responded around 3 a.m. Friday to a two-vehicle collision in the 2400 block of Pillette. Both vehicles sustained heavy front-end damage and there was “a large field of debris” across the roadway, police said. The two drivers were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Police laid charges against the female driver. She was released on a promise to appear in court. Windsor police stress that impaired driving is a preventable offence and that any headon collision involving motor vehicles is extremely dangerous. Anyone with further information about this or other impaired driving cases is encouraged to call police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4000.
