Quesnel’s gift to hospice laudable

Re: Philanthropist Quesnel donates $1M to hospice, by Dave Battagello, Aug. 18.

As a community leader and activist for the better part of my life, I would like to acknowledge and thank philanthropist Al Quesnel for his multiple donations to several community needs, the latest being a generous gift of $1 million to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc. Hospice is a wonderful organization that provides compassion and care to those who require their incredible services.

Quesnel, who I have never met, suggested in his remarks to reporter Dave Battagello that everybody has an opinion of his generosity and he is hopeful that it is a good one. Well, as a citizen I am ecstatic and grateful.
