Police seeking suspects in robbery of Beer Store

Masked men appeared to have a pistol and fled area on foot, investigat­ors learn

Windsor police are seeking two men who wore ski masks and brandished what looked like a silver handgun to rob an east-end Beer Store.

The crime occurred at The Beer Store at 8150 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday around 10 p.m. Windsor police arrived to learn that two masked males had entered the store — one of them brandishin­g a pistol-style firearm. The suspect with the weapon demanded money. Upon obtaining a quantity of cash, the robbers concealed it in a satchel-style bag and left the premises. They were last seen fleeing the area on foot, toward the rear of the building.

No one was hurt. An investigat­ion by the major crimes branch is ongoing. Forensics officers attended and examined the scene on Tuesday night. The robber with the suspected handgun is described as a white male, about five-foot-11 with an average build. At the time of the crime, he was wearing grey jeans and a red and grey plaid shirt with a black hooded sweater underneath.

His accomplice is described as a white male, also about five-foot-11. At the time of the crime, he wore dark blue jeans and a black and white plaid shirt with an orange hooded sweater underneath. Both robbers concealed their faces with black ski masks. Windsor police warn that these suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
