The Essex Region Conservation Authority is offering grants for local projects that help the environment. Rural and agricultural landowners who submit plans to improve the environment may be eligible to receive ERCA grants covering up to 80 per cent of project costs. The grants are specific to watersheds that drain directly into Lake Erie. To qualify, those interested must submit a crop nutrient plan application, a Clean Water- Green Spaces application, or both. There is no deadline to apply. But funding, though still available, is limited each year. Landowners interested in planting trees or creating prairie habitat on their property this spring can also apply for grants. To be eligible, individuals must own at least one acre of land and purchase a minimum of 100 seedlings or 15 large stock trees from ERCA’s online catalogue. The deadline for ordering trees is Feb. 1. JOE, I and a lot of Canadians hear you and are in complete agreement. This is typical of "Politicians." There is nothing in it for them so the attitude it simple, note and file.
How does one take care of this before taking to the streets like in France, hound your Councillor by telephone and email until they just cannot function. If this doesn't work then do everything in your power to make their re-election almost impossible.
My Viewpoint , i agree we need trees , the problem is the crappy way the city takes care of trees on city property . i have one , the response time for trimming is too long , after calling for a trim , my tree dropped a branch on a car , the city paid out the claim and it was still about a month after before they came and trimmed it . i have asked if i can hire a city approved contractor , at my expense , to trim it and the answer is always no .

And nothing to stop the "Clear Cutting" for new sub-divisions. This should be available to "Home Owners" based on every property should have at least a minimum of four trees per property.
Trees are the answer to all those kooks espousing that "Climate Change" is a result of excessive CO2 emissions. This picked up by Government sponsored News Media is nothing but a ploy to TAX individuals into poverty. Just take a look at France.
Where are the YELLOW jackets in Canada and the U.S.?
