Let Aphria grow as much weed as it can

-

Re: Pot production tally doubted, by letter writer Stephen Kurtz, Dec. 22.

It’s definitely true that not every man, woman or child in Canada smokes weed — as Stephen Kurtz said in a letter to the Windsor Star (questioning Aphria’s plan to produce 20,000 kilograms of marijuana monthly). But I smoke four to five joints a day and I’m one person. Even assuming I only smoke four joints per day at a third of a gram each, that’s 1,460 joints per year I am smoking ... if you are saying that’s 20 joints a year for every individual in Canada, I actually smoke the amount 73 individuals would have, by that math.

Of course, there are a lot of people who smoke more joints than me and people who smoke joints larger than a third of a gram, as well as people who smoke less, and many not at all ... but there is no way to determine how many people smoke marijuana or how much. Therefore there is no way to properly determine the math on this. I say just let Aphria grow as much as it can.
