PARKER’S TOP THREE SPITS:
1. C Tyler Angle (two goals and an assist, which gives him a trio of three-point games this season);
2. LW Daniel D’Amico (a goal and an assist and has 14 points in his last 10 games); 3. RW Cole Purboo (one assist, but veteran never takes a shift off, regardless of the score.) TURNING POINT: Spirit built a 4-0 lead in the first 26 minutes and Spitfires could not claw back from the deficit.
THUMBS UP: Windsor power play, which came in ranked 16th in the 20-team league, scored twice against the Spirit, who had the No. 3-ranked penalty-kill. THUMBS DOWN: Curtis Douglas major penalty and game misconduct for kneeing did not help a short Windsor bench. The league will review the hit.
UP NEXT: The Spitfires return home on Thursday to face Mathew MacDougall for the first time since his trade to the Erie Otters. Game time at the WFCU Centre is 7:05 p.m.
