TWO ARRESTED AFTER ECSTASY SHIPMENT SPOTTED IN QUEBEC

Two Nova Scotians are facing drug charges after Montreal border agents intercepte­d an ecstasy shipment from Germany. Police say a package containing about a kilogram of suspected ecstasy tablets was destined for South Rawdon, N.S. Canada Border Services Agency officers spotted it at a Montreal mail processing centre, and notified the Nova Scotia RCMP’s organized crime section. CBSA and RCMP officers arrested a 51-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman at a South Rawdon home, and seized the package on Jan. 3.
