Credit union hands out $20,000 to local groups
Community Donations Fund will support 23 recipients
The WFCU Credit Union awarded a total of $20,000 to 23 Windsor-essex community groups on Friday.
“Supporting our community is an integral part of who we are at WFCU Credit Union,” president and CEO Eddie Francis said in a news release.
The recipients of the 2019 Community Donations Fund are:

■ Malden Guild of Arts and Crafts/the Gibson Gallery
■ John Mcgivney Children’s Centre
■ Katelyn Bedard Bone Marrow Association
■ Lasalle Hangout for Youth
■ Lifeline Church Little Tomato Children’s Theatre

■ The Migrant Worker Community Program

The Community Donations Fund is part of the credit union’s community engagement program called Inspire. In the last 15 years, WFCU has given more than $283,000 just through this fund.
“Part of WFCU’S mission is to make the communities we serve the best places to live and work” said WFCU board chairman Marty Gillis.
