Crews battle massive barn fire

The Leamington and Kingsville fire departments joined forces late Monday to fight a raging blaze at a large building full of hay and machinery. The fire broke out around 11:20 p.m. at a farm on Mersea Road 10, between Essex Road 37 and Kent County Road 1, in Leamington. There were no injuries. Leamington Fire Chief Andrew Baird said the owner got the heavy machinery out of the barn as $30,000 worth of hay bales burned at the other end of the building.
