Woman fights off sexual assault

Windsor police are looking for a perpetrato­r and a damaged minivan after a woman fought off a sexual assault on the city’s east side. Officers responded around 2 a.m. Saturday after the victim called police. It happened near Riverside Drive East and Lauzon Road. The woman said she was assaulted through unwanted touching inside a parked vehicle. She resisted and a struggle ensued. The woman said she broke the rear view mirror and cracked the windshield during the fight. She escaped from the minivan and called for help. Police said the man was about 22 years old and 5-foot-10 with an olive skin tone, long black hair tied in a bun and shaved head on the sides. He was wearing a black hooded sweater and possibly spoke Arabic. The vehicle was a dark purple or grey minivan. Anyone with informatio­n can call Windsor police at 519-2556700 ext. 4830.
