Man charged in cocaine probe
A Windsor resident is facing numerous charges in connection with an OPP investigation into cocaine trafficking in Leamington. Earlier this year, the OPP’S organized crime enforcement bureau, the Canada Border Services Agency and the Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau identified a cocaine trafficking network in Leamington. On June 23, after extensive investigation, officers executed search warrants at two locations in Windsor. More than one kilogram of cocaine and more than 3 kg of marijuana with an estimated street value of $225,000 were seized. Officers also seized more than $200,000 cash. Isai Quinteros Sorto, 28, is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and possession of property obtained by crime. He is to appear in court Sept. 14.
