O'toole supports working class
Re: Reader letter: O'toole no friend to labour, workers, by Ian Bawden, Nov. 5
Mr. Bawden's letter regarding Erin O'toole I believe is unfair on many levels.
First, it was very disheartening to see the author is an NDP constituency assistant and does not identify that to readers so his opinion was more transparent.
I am proud to state I am the president of the Windsor West Conservative riding association and was Erin O'toole's Windsor West riding co-captain for his leadership bid.
Second, Erin is a good man with deep family roots of hardworking Canadians.
Erin grew up in a GM family, so fighting for workers and jobs is in his DNA. It seems the NDP strategy is to demonize their opponent's leaders with such mischaracterizations to create fear among voters. I believe it is not going to work this time with Erin O'toole as our leader. Erin O'toole has stood up for working Canadians during his entire career.
The private member's Bill C-405 which was referred to in the letter is actually pro-union. Erin is trying to protect union workers' pensions.
Always listen directly to one's words to get the truth, not their political opponents.
When one reads and listens to O'toole's actual words, you will discover Erin is a champion for working-class Canadians.
Finally, I would add Erin is very fond of Windsor and our widely recognized skilled trade workers and ingenuity. Erin wants our region to succeed more than ever in a prosperous vibrant Canada.
I only hope we will have a fair and transparent sharing of information when we soon head to an election and voters of our region realize electing Conservative MPS to be part of the next Erin O'toole government is the best way to have a seat at the governing table.
