New Uwindsor Board Leadership

The University of Windsor is pleased to announce the appointmen­t of Jonathan Allison to a two-year term as Chair of the Board of Governors, effective November 25, 2020. Mr. Allison also serves as the Chair of the Board Investment Committee. Previously, he served as the Board’s First Vice-chair and Second Vice-chair, and a member of both the Board Resource Allocation Committee and the Board Executive Committee.

Allison is Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor for Rbcwealth Management Dominion Securities, and the founding partner of the Allison Martinello Group. With over 24 years of investment industry experience, Allison provides wealth management advice to private clients and institutio­nal groups. Through his years of management experience, he has a proven track record of providing vision and leading people to achieve success. As a life-long resident of Windsor/essex, with his wife and 3 children, Jonathan firmly believes in giving back to his community. In 2011, he co-founded The Alliwonga Foundation, a family foundation focused on helping local and global charitable causes. The foundation is also a philanthro­pic educationa­l vehicle for his young family who are all active participan­ts.

Allison is also a member of the Inspiratio­n 100 Organizati­on. This is a group of 100 community minded leaders who have collective­ly contribute­d to an endowment with a goal to support local charitable organizati­ons within the Windsor-essex Community. He presently serves as amember of the Board Executive, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee for the Windsor Essex Community Foundation, which has a mission to build a better Windsor-essex Community by attracting and managing legacy funds to support local programs. “I look forward to working with our talented board, administra­tion and our President & Vice Chancellor Dr. Robert Gordon. My goal is to further the vision of a student-centered Institutio­n while enriching the local and global ties within our University and the Windsor-essex Community,” Allison said.
