Windsor police are looking for multiple suspects after a vehicle stolen from the city's core Thursday night was reportedly used in a break and enter a few hours later.

Patrol officers were called to the 600 block of Church Street in response to a vehicle theft.

A red 2011 Kia Soul was reportedly stolen by two suspects, a male and a female, who had first arrived in the area in an older model sedan that may have been silver.

After being stolen, the red Kia was seen fleeing westbound on Wyandotte Street West from Church Street at a high rate of speed.

The suspects are described as a Black female in her late teens, approximately five-feet-seven-inches tall, with long black hair and wearing dark clothing, and a Black male in his late teens or early 20s, approximately five-feet11-inches tall, with an untrimmed moustache, curly black hair and wearing a red Chicago Bulls jersey (#3), dark coloured shorts and high-top basketball shoes.

On Friday at 1:10 a.m., police responded to the 7600 block of Tecumseh Road East for a report of a break and enter at a business involving a red Kia Soul and three or four suspects.

The suspects had already fled the area by the time police arrived.

Investigators believe the same red Kia Soul stolen from Church Street was used in the break-in. The vehicle has not yet been located and will likely have damage to the rear end and at least one tire.

The vehicle reportedly fled the business heading eastbound on Tecumseh Road East until at least Lauzon Road.

The business sustained extensive damage and several pairs of eyeglass and sunglass frames were taken.

Those suspects are described as: a white male wearing a Chicago Bulls jersey (#1), a black baseball hat with a white Toronto Blue Jays logo, black pants, and white sneakers; a white female with black hair, wearing a black sweater, jeans, and black and white sneakers; a white female wearing a black baseball hat, black sweater, and camo pants, with her hair in a bun; and a final suspect of unidentified gender and race wearing all black.

The Windsor Police Service major crime unit is seeking any information that may help identify any of the suspects involved or locate the suspect vehicle. Residents and businesses in the area of both incidents are asked to check any surveillance cameras for possible evidence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-2556700, ext. 4830 or ext. 4000 if calling after hours. Should you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or www.catchcrooks.com.
