Protests have been way out of line

We have been told over and over how there is an extreme shortage of doctors, nurses and others trained in the medical field.

Well, perhaps that's been a lie.

Just listen to call-in talk shows or look on social media. There are hundreds who believe they are doctors and nurses in terms of their wisdom. They got their degrees from the universities of Facebook, Twitter and other online sources.

Maybe people should search out these same experts to get their heart surgery or any other medical problems they may have. Have no fear as they are always right.

These rebels have been living in a democracy all their lives, yet seemingly have little knowledge of what that means. It means the majority rules and then we enjoy all the benefits of that majority who were lawfully voted in to represent us.

We may not agree with all their decisions, but when we don't necessarily agree, we don't flop on the floor and cry in protest. We don't infringe on the rights of others.

We demonstrate peacefully with the rights of others in mind. We contact our representatives and voice our opinions. We vote for change in future elections.

If you don't agree with these ideals, then please at least stop carrying our precious flag while you block our roads or threaten law-abiding citizens.

Those are not the actions of a proud Canadian.

You also have the right, if you are so upset in Canada, to move to another country, like China or Russia. I'm sure your demonstrations will be much more welcomed there.
