Another person is facing a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Oyebode Oyenuga, who went missing from Windsor in February 2021.

OPP and Walpole Island First Nation Police announced Tuesday that Nashaye Walker, 21, of North York is the latest individual to be arrested and charged in the case.

According to police, Walker was the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant before she was located in North York on March 10.

The accused had a bail hearing on March 11 but remains in custody.

Police have disclosed few details about the complex and puzzling case.

Oyenuga, a 25-year-old male of Nigerian descent, was a computer science student at the University of Windsor. He was last seen alive in Windsor on Feb. 2, 2021, driving a white 2015 BMW.

Windsor police issued a missing person alert for Oyenuga in early March 2021. Later that month, OPP confirmed that Oyenuga's remains had been found at Walpole Island First Nation — more than 120 kilometres driving distance from Windsor.

OPP forensic investigators were seen searching a marshy area on the reserve. The remains were discovered in at least two locations there.
