Stellantis announced Monday it has reached an agreement to provide Ayvens, the world's biggest leasing and fleet management firm, with up to 500,000 vehicles over the next three years.

Deliveries of the first vehicles in the multi-billion-dollar agreement will begin in the first half of 2024.

Ayvens will take delivery of a variety of vehicle classes, ranging from small cars to SUVS and both seven- and nine-seat vans. The deal also allows for brand availability to be extended in the future if needed with new products coming onto the market.

“I am thrilled to announce a new groundbreaking agreement with Ayvens, which will aid the progressive transition of Ayvens's client base to choosing more sustainable mobility options,” said Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares in a statement.

“With our renowned and electrified brands, we offer a vehicle tailored to meet every need, budget and lifestyle. This collaboration empowers both current and prospective Stellantis brand customers to experience our latest innovations first-hand, from advanced propulsion to seamless connectivity and unparalleled comfort.

“Their clients will have the ultimate test drive as we pave the way to a decarbonized future.”

This is the second major agreement Stellantis has reached with a vehicle rental/leasing firm in the past six weeks.

In January the Sixt vehicle rental firm agreed to buy up to 250,000 new vehicles, including vans, from Stellantis over the next three years beginning in 2024.

“We are very pleased to have reached this frame agreement with Stellantis in our quest to deliver quality, multi-brand vehicles to our clients which will progressively help them in their transition to more sustainable emissions through a best-in-class product range and service quality,” Ayvens's CEO Tim Albertsen said. “This commercial partnership will allow us to work closely together with Stellantis to ensure more competitive pricing for our clients and perfectly illustrates our capacity to leverage our new scale and buying power to achieve better value and synergies for all of our stakeholders.”

Ayvens (ayvens.com) was formed in May 2023 when ALD Automotive acquired Leaseplan.

It has 15,700 employees across 42 countries, 3.4 million vehicles and is the world's largest multibrand EV fleet. It provides leasing, flexible subscription services, fleet management and multi-mobility solutions to large international corporates, small and medium businesses, professional and private individuals.

Albertsen said the agreement will help Ayvens meet the evolving needs of its customer base.

“The mobility industry is structurally a high-growth market which is underpinned by clients' shifting from ownership to usership, their requirement for full-service leasing solutions, their need for visibility over their costs and their commitment to reduce their carbon footprint.”
