Two suspects face multiple drug trafficking charges
Two suspects face a number of drug-related charges following a Windsor police investigation that netted an array of illegal drugs valued at more than $10,000.
Officers with the drugs and guns enforcement unit arrested the two suspects Monday.
Police said a search of one of the suspect's residences resulted in the seizure of 19 grams of cocaine, 23 grams of crystal meth, 107 oxycodone tablets, 40 capsules of Adderall, four grams of crack cocaine, 51 buprenorphine tablets, 22 grams of MDMA and 37 bottles of methadone.
MDMA is the major active drug in ecstasy, an illegal synthetic amphetamine with euphoric and mildly hallucinogenic properties.
Officers also allegedly found a prohibited knife, replica and BB guns, a digital scale and “significant quantity” of currency.
A 44-year-old man has been charged with 10 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, plus possession of the proceeds of crime and of a prohibited weapon.
A second person, age 30, has been charged with 10 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of a prohibited weapon, as well as three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
