The Windsor Express will send four players to the Basketball Super League all-star game in Sudbury.

Paul Harrison, Latin Davis and Shadell Millinghaus, who was acquired last week from London, will suit up for Team Blue in the March 9 game while teammate Tyler Groce has been named to Team Red.

Davis, who is in his second season with the team, has paced the Express in scoring in six of the team's 13 games this season and is averaging 19 points per game.

Harrison, meanwhile, is in his first season with the club and has hit double figures in 12 of the team's 13 games while averaging 19.3 points per game.

Millinghaus was leading London in scoring and rebounding before the trade to Windsor and he has paced the Express in scoring and rebounding in his first two games with the club with an average of 21 points and 11 rebounds in those matches.

Groce, who is also in his first season with the Express, is leading the BSL in rebounding with an average of 9.9 per game.

Millinghaus is third in the Basketball Super League with an average of 8.7 per game.

LANCERS' KOFFI HONOURED

Windsor Lancers guard Grace Koffi was honoured by OUA women's basketball with the Tracy Macleod Award for determination, perseverance and unwavering spirit.

A fourth-year guard from Pierrefonds, Que., the 5-foot-5 Koffi has battled countless setbacks during her university career to try to stay on the court with the Lancers.

Her first season with the Lancers was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but at the time she began an exhaustive drug plan recommended by physicians to address a hormone imbalance.

It led to insomnia, headaches, weight gain, muscle loss and general pain that lasted into December of this season.

In her first playing season with he club, Koffi developed a chronic lower-body injury that made her unable to sit comfortably or even walk or breathe without pain and required nearly a year and a half to overcome. Set to return to action, she then suffered back-to-back concussions that sidelined her most of the season.

This past summer, Koffi suffered an acute appendicitis that nearly took her life and returned on a forced load management.

In this past semester, and feeling better after stopping the drug treatments, she suffered another concussion going in for a layup.

Despite the constant setbacks, Koffi remained a positive presence for the Lancers and remained involved, present and joyful around teammates.

Koffi is just the second Lancer to win the award with Laura Mullins being the first in 2012.

SHARKS TAKE OPENER

Shannon Olson scored with just under seven minutes to play in regulation as the Wheatley Sharks rallied for a 4-3 win over the Mooretown Flags.

With it, the Sharks took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven Bill Stobbs Division quarterfinal.

Issac Legood and Vito Alfano also scored for the fourth-seeded Sharks, who trailed 2-0 early. Kyle Kelly had the other goal for Wheatley against the fifth-seeded Flags.
