A 35-year-old man was arrested after police seized more than $18,000 in illicit drugs from a Windsor residence.

Officers with the Windsor Police Service drugs and guns enforcement unit searched two residences and a vehicle in March after obtaining a controlled drug and substance act warrant.

The warrant was granted following the launch of an investigation into a male suspect believed to be trafficking drugs out of a Windsor residence.

Police said they found and seized 101 grams of cocaine, 165 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a digital scale and packaging materials.

The street value of the drugs is estimated at more than $18,000.

On April 9, officers arrested the suspect after a vehicle stop.

He has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, namely crystal methamphetamine and cocaine.

Officers with the drugs and guns enforcement unit have made several drug busts since the beginning of the year.

In February, an investigation netted an array of illegal drugs valued at more than $10,000.

Two suspects were arrested.

A search of one of the suspect's residences resulted in the seizure of 19 grams of cocaine, 23 grams of crystal meth, 107 oxycodone tablets, 40 capsules of Adderall, four grams of crack cocaine, 51 buprenorphine tablets, 22 grams of MDMA and 37 bottles of methadone.

Also in February, police arrested one person and seized $12,245 in drugs and a handgun.

The suspect is alleged to have been trafficking drugs between Windsor and Toronto.
