Col­lec­tor Car Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Day

TO­DAY from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Man­i­toba Leg­isla­tive Build­ing and sur­round­ing area, the Man­i­toba As­so­ci­a­tion of Auto Clubs (M.A.A.C.) is host­ing the fourth an­nual Col­lec­tor Car Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Day. This year there will be more than 50 Ford Mus­tangs on dis­play in cel­e­bra­tion of this iconic car’s 50th an­niver­sary. Or­ga­niz­ers also ex­pect more than 600 spe­cial in­ter­est ve­hi­cles from all gen­res of the col­lec­tor car hobby will be on dis­play. Open­ing cer­e­monies are at 7 p.m. and will fea­ture speeches from rep­re­sen­ta­tives from all lev­els of govern­ment. This event is held in con­junc­tion with other cities through­out North Amer­ica and cel­e­brates the his­tory and her­itage of the au­to­mo­bile. This year’s event is once again spon­sored by Pis­ton Ring Ser­vice and Man­i­toba Pub­lic In­sur­ance.
