Remember Ed The Sock? Well, he’s back! And his War On Stupid Tour hits The Garrick in Winnipeg on Dec. 7. I had a chance to interview the Canadian icon on my radio show this week. Or should I say, I tried to ask him questions and he ridiculed me. It was fun though!

My favorite line of his...“going to Kanye West for a political opinion is like getting Captain Hook to solve a Rubic’s Cube.” By the way, this tour is in support of a new online home Ed is building called the FU Network, also known as FUN.

Good luck to the Bombers! They of course take on the Riders in Regina in tomorrow’s Western Semi-final. This season has been an inconsistent one of our boys in blue and gold but you know what, it wouldn’t surprise me if they go all the way...finally! Two more wins and they’re in the big game. Win three and they’ll be hoisting the Grey Cup. Also good luck to Adam Bighill, Andrew Harris and Stanley Bryant who’re up for CFL awards.

Have you given legal pot a try yet? A bit of advice from cannabis enthusiast Sarah Hanlon. Yes, the same Sarah Hanlon who won Big Brother Canada. She says if you’re just getting started or giving it another go after many years, only take one puff. You can always take more if needed. Sarah has done a series of videos you can see online where she answers all the basic questions about marijuana use for beginners. Just go to lift.co to check them out.

I helped to make Bohemian Rhapsody the number one movie last weekend. What a good flick! I’m not a big Queen fan but the great story (a lot of which I didn’t know) and Rami Malek’s great performance as Freddie Mercury had my attention from start to finish. And of course the music was cool too. And if you feel like a good movie but want to watch it at home, give Blackkklansman a try. We watched it the other night and it’s excellent!

And finally, because it was Aid & Abet Punsters Day the other day, I thought we’d end with a few good puns. OK, maybe they’re not that good...

Police were called to a daycare where a three year old was resisting a rest.a small boy swallowed some coins and was taken to a hospital. When his grandmother phoned to ask how he was, a nurse said, “No change yet.”what’s the difference between deer nuts and beer nuts? Beer nuts are a $1.75 but deer nuts are under a buck.
