Winnipeg Sun - - COMMENT -

It is time to get mad. This bill is a betrayal of Canadians rights and a behind our backs assault on the financial institutions we know we can trust. I spent nearly 50 years in banking and government and we were ingrained with protecting client privacy as an absolute. We can Trust our financial institutions absolutely. We cannot say the same for Statistics Canada whose very reason for existence is to disseminate information to the public. I have made this clear to My Liberal MP in no uncertain terms. I have reached out to all my friends on Facebook to take action as well. I believe we need to followup with petitions as well which I don’t know how to initiate. We need to voice our objections to this action in no uncertain terms. hank you for printing this.

FRED ADAIR The plan to harvest banking info is on hold for now. We need to keep the pressure on government to do the right thing and permanently halt this action.
