Winnipeg Sun - - COMMENT -

In this election year, it is irritating to reflect on what could have been if the Canadian voters had re-elected Stephen Harper (Masters degree in economics) rather than Pierre Lite (Masters degree in nothing). The federal budget would be balanced, we would have control over our borders, we would not have a carbon tax, Trans Mountain pipeline and Northern Gateway would be in operation, investment dollars would not be fleeing to the U.S. We would be respected members of the G-7 and G-20, rather than the comic relief. The only “accomplishment” of the Trudeau government was to legalize pot, which has made us a world leader at least in psychoactive drugs.

JOHN H. MACLEAN Ahh, the glory days, when we could always be proud of our PM on the international stage.
