Your ar­ti­cle on in­fan­tiliz­ing older peo­ple [“A Zoomer by Any Other Name,” June] was right on. It’s been a peeve of mine since I be­came “a se­nior.” I’m in my 70s and ad­dressed as “hon,” “dear,” “sweetie,” “young man,” etc. – all sug­gest that I’m old and safe. This hap­pens at restau­rants and re­tail out­lets. Great ar­ti­cle. BTW, I of­ten tell peo­ple, “How come you don’t age?” I’m usu­ally sin­cere. —Mal­colm Surette, via email
