Some HCPs aren’t well trained on the use of cannabis for treatment in medical conditions. There are other HCPs who can help, and you can ask for a referral to get a more complete assessment.

Certain LPs (licensed producers) can help you obtain medical support from an HCP who focuses on medical cannabis. They can connect you with one of their certified partner clinics that can provide you with the information you need to talk to a physician or nurse practitioner about an authorization. Your full medical history will be reviewed and their consultation notes can be shared with your primary HCP.

Some LPs have certified partners that have been trained on the LP’s registration process, product line and full range of services. They can be trusted to help you register, give you accurate strain guidance, or help you or your HCP obtain medical support from physicians who focus on medical cannabis.
