TOMÁSMUNITA

Tomás Munita is a Chilean independent documentary photographer based in Santiago who worked for several years as a staff photographer at The New York Times. His photos have won many awards, including four World Press Photo Awards. Several of the photos in his photo essay in this issue were formerly published in a story in National Geographic that won him the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Award in 2015.

Tomás Munita es un fotógrafo documental independiente chileno de Santiago que trabajó durante varios años como fotógrafo en The New York Times. Sus fotos han ganado muchos premios, incluyendo cuatro premios World Press Photo. Varias de las fotos en su ensayo fotográfico en este número fueron publicadas anteriormente en un reportaje de National Geographic que le valió el Premio Gabriel García Márquez en 2015.
