Star trekking

Action Asia - - REAL DEALS -

DRY WEATHER, CLOUDLESS SKIES, HIGH altitude and zero light pollution make for perfect conditions for stargazing, and what more evocative way to enjoy it than on a period-style caravan on the backroads of Yunnan. Caravane Liotard takes astronomy aficionados across the Righa Plain, taking in breathtaking views of major landmarks such as the Yading Range and Aboudje Sacred Lake. Though catering to all levels of adventurer, participants are expected to walk for six hours a day on average with civilised picnic breaks planned for each afternoon. Authentic-looking bell tents are provided for overnight stays at grassland campsites. Astronomer Alexis Enel will be on-hand to explain the constellations, share stories and give tips on how to take good shots of the night sky. The caravan season runs from mid-march to late-november, and prices are available on demand at info@caravane-lio
