Celebes Divers announces the opening of the newly built Kuda Laut Boutique Dive Resort on the island of Siladen, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. “We are delighted to expand our resort portfolio in this premier diving destination by opening our third, and so far best, resort,” Klaus Schnappenberger says. “This is a very special resort with fantastic views, excellent diving and great comfort for our guests.” He is a shareholder of Celebes Divers, which was established 15 years ago, right in the middle of the Coral Triangle. The waters around the island teem with life. Macro and critter enthusiasts in particular find a paradise on the wonderful reefs and vertical walls, full of fish, dropping down to 1,500m. The VIPS are frogfish, pygmy seahorses, tiger shrimp and hairy squat lobsters. The reefs are complemented by the muck dive sites along the mainland, which host Bobbit worms, mimic octopuses and hooded nudibranch, as well as a cargo shipwreck from World War II. It all makes this area a real diver's heaven. With a water temperature of 27-30°C and visibility from 10-50m, the area offers diving all year round. Famous for their warm climate, the islands of Sulawesi are best known for their rich scenery comprising volcanic landscapes and lush tropical forests, beautiful sandy beaches and a unique biodiversity, both on land and underwater.
