Action Asia - - GEORGIA -

When to go

Summers are hot, especially in the central lowlands, so many choose to escape to the Black Sea coast or into the mountains at that time. Better yet, come in May/june or September, for more moderate conditions. In general, the west of Georgia is warmer yet wetter than the east.

How to get there

There are few direct flights from Asia to the Caucasus: you must connect through Moscow or one of the Gulf hubs. Emirates offer the most flights, accessing Tbilisi, as well as the neighbouring capitals of Yerevan (Armenia) and Baku (Azerbaijan).

Further info

Georgia has the most relaxed visa policy in the region. Most nationalities either need no visa, or can obtain one electronically. Armenia and Azerbaijan are more stringent but should present few major problems.
