A many-time contributor to Action Asia and Action Diver, Gregg is a keen diver and environmentalist who has previously worked for Wwf-philippines and Oceana, an advocacy group focused on marine conservation. Today he is Director of Best Alternatives, an environmental nonprofit. He is a Loyola Mountaineer, one of the Philippines’ most established climbing and hiking groups, and a graduate of the Jungle Environment Survival Training (JEST) School in Subic Bay. Both skill sets came in handy on his most recent adventure, featured in this issue, to survey the population of tamaraw on Mindoro. You can read more of his adventures on ‘The Wild Side’, his monthly online column.
