A many-time con­trib­u­tor to Ac­tion Asia and Ac­tion Diver, Gregg is a keen diver and en­vi­ron­men­tal­ist who has pre­vi­ously worked for Wwf-philip­pines and Oceana, an ad­vo­cacy group fo­cused on ma­rine con­ser­va­tion. To­day he is Direc­tor of Best Al­ter­na­tives, an en­vi­ron­men­tal non­profit. He is a Loy­ola Moun­taineer, one of the Philip­pines’ most es­tab­lished climb­ing and hik­ing groups, and a grad­u­ate of the Jun­gle En­vi­ron­ment Sur­vival Train­ing (JEST) School in Su­bic Bay. Both skill sets came in handy on his most re­cent ad­ven­ture, fea­tured in this is­sue, to sur­vey the pop­u­la­tion of tama­raw on Min­doro.
