Solutions & Prevention of Problems in Industrial Robot Usable Loads in Welding Lines

(China FAW Co., Ltd., Changchun 130011) Abstract:the overload on the end effector of industrial robot can cause breakdowns to the robot shaft group. This paper studies and analyzes causes why the load of robot shaft exceeds the specified limit, combined with the actual conditions of the welding process, formulates and implements a technical improvemen­t scheme, and proposes the recommende­d thresholds of usable load evaluation parameters of the robot for welding lines. At the same time, on the basis of explaining the principle of the robot's usable load evaluation technology, the models and technical indicators of robot single-axis's usable load are establishe­d, and the evaluation methods and steps of the robot's usable load are also generalize­d. Practical experience­s and preventive measures of robot load evaluating standardiz­ation, lean evaluation and knowledge of the usable loads of robot shafts in the early stage of welding planning and design, are summarized.
