Research on Application of Machine Vision Technologies in Automobile Manufacturing Industry

(SAIC General Motor Powertrain Co., Ltd., Yantai 264006, Shandong) Abstract:this paper expounded the function of machine vision technology, its main application in intelligent manufacturing, the difference and correlation between machine vision and human vision, software and hardware structure, algorithm and its specific application process, problems and solutions in the four processes of engine, gearbox and whole vehicle, and summarized the future development trend of machine vision technologies in automobile manufacturing. It is pointed out in the paper that in the era of intelligent manufacturing and industry 4.0, the proportion of machine vision technologies in the application of automobile manufacturing industry will grow. Machine vision technology is an indispensable part of artificial intelligence in the field of automobile manufacturing, and it is very necessary to make systematic research on it. The purpose is to use machine vision technologies to reduce automobile manufacturing production cost, improve production efficiency, production flexibility and production automation, so as to lay a solid foundation for the development of electrification, networking, intelligence and sharing in the automobile manufacturing industry.
