On August 10, VLTAVA Czech Brewery Restaurant officially opened its doors to foodies and lovers of good drinks. The opening celebration was supported by the government of Prague, capital of the Czech Republic; the embassy of the Czech Republic in China and other Czech institutions in China. Mayor of Prague Adriana Krnáčová, Deputy Head of Mission (Minister Counsellor) Klára Jurčová of the Czech Embassy in China and other honoured guests attended the celebration. More than 100 guests in total witnessed the exciting opening ceremony of the VLTAVA Czech Brewery Restaurant.
The Vltava is the mother river carrying the history of the Czech Republic, and nourishing the Czech land. It is also the origin of VLTAVA Czech Brewery Restaurant. Love of Czech culture and pursuit of fine cuisine brought VLTAVA Czech Brewery Restaurant to Beijing as the first gourmet Czech restaurant in the city. The restaurant carefully selects the best ingredients, which are then cooked on-site by a Czech chef, and offers authentic Czech beers. Fine food and drink form a grand banquet.
Dalesice Brewery is a partner of the restaurant. It began operations in 1609. The oldest of its buildings was built during the Baroque period in the early 17th century. It features massive stone walls, arched domes and lithic window walls. The brewery produces 15,000 hectolitres of beers annually. This is mostly draught beer, light lager and dark lager, which are sold to over 100 local Czech restaurants and bars. Forty-five restaurants and bars sell Dalesice beers exclusively. Dalesice Brewery also owns five restaurants and bars in Brno and its surrounding areas, and the number keeps growing. After years of development, Dalesice has become one of the most famous breweries in the Czech Republic.
